BalliQ is a free football quiz game for iPhone and Android in which you answer football trivia questions across six game modes, earn trophies, climb global leaderboards and play live head-to-head against friends. It is published by Ball IQ Ltd and launched on the App Store on 19 August 2026.

Yes. BalliQ is free to download and free to play on both iPhone and Android, with every game mode included. The free version shows ads; BalliQ Premium is an optional upgrade.

Yes, BalliQ is on both. On iPhone it requires iOS 15.0 or later and is about 192 MB; on Android it requires Android 7.0 or later and is on Google Play as com.balliqgame.balliq. Both versions share the same accounts, leaderboards and live matches.

You can play BalliQ without an account; signing in with Apple or Google is optional and is only needed to keep a profile, sync stats across devices and appear on leaderboards.

BalliQ is rated 4+ on the App Store, meaning it contains no objectionable content. The questions are general football knowledge and the game is suitable for children and adults alike.

BalliQ is currently available in English. All questions, menus and challenges are in English.

BalliQ has 6 game modes: Survival Mode, Speed Mode, Timed Challenge, Guess The Player, Levels, Party Mode. Survival, Speed, Timed Challenge and Guess The Player can also be played as live head-to-head matches, and a separate Daily Challenge of 10 questions refreshes every day.

Survival Mode gives you three lives; each wrong answer costs one, and the game ends when all three are gone, so your score is how many football questions you can answer correctly before that happens. You start with 3 lives. A wrong answer removes one life; the game ends at zero. There is no countdown timer — accuracy matters more than speed. Finishing with all 3 lives intact earns the Unbreakable trophy.

Speed Mode is a race against a timer that gets shorter with every correct answer, so the pressure rises as your score climbs and quick recall is rewarded. Each question has a short countdown (5 seconds in live matches). The timer shortens as you answer correctly. Trophy thresholds: 40 points (Speed Racer), 100 (Speed Demon), 150 (Speed God).

Timed Challenge puts a countdown on every question, and the faster you answer, the bigger your score multiplier — up to 3×. The timer is per question, not one countdown for the whole game: the clock resets for every question. Live matches: 20 seconds per question, and both players answer on the same clock. Answering with more than 15 seconds left scores 3× points; 8–15 seconds left scores 2×. Letting a question time out costs 10 points. Trophy thresholds: 80 points (Clock Master), 150 (Clockwork).

Guess The Player asks you to identify a footballer from clues — their career path, famous facts, a celebration silhouette or a cropped image — with every clue narrowing it down. Four clue types: career paths, famous clues, celebration silhouettes, cropped images. 100 dedicated silhouette puzzles at launch. 60 seconds per player in live matches. Trophy thresholds: 60 points (The Scout), 120 (The Analyst).

Levels is BalliQ's progression ladder: 78 levels of 10 questions each, named after football positions from Goalkeeper to Striker, that you unlock in order by reaching the required score. 78 levels, 10 questions per level. Levels are named after positions — Goalkeeper, Right Back, Centre Back, Left Back, Defensive Midfielder, Centre Midfielder, Attacking Midfielder, Striker — building up a full team. Each level has a required score to unlock the next; you earn up to 3 stars per level. Level questions focus on the Premier League.

Party Mode turns one phone into a football quiz night: 2 to 8 people pass a single device around and answer from a dedicated bank of 872 party questions. Played on a single phone, passed between players. Separate question bank of 872 questions built for group play. No account needed for the other players.

The Daily Challenge is a fresh set of 10 football questions every day, drawn from rotating themes — Premier League, World Cup, and club-specific — with streak trophies for playing 3, 7 and 30 days in a row.

Yes, in two ways. BalliQ's Live Sessions are real-time head-to-head matches: both players get the same questions at the same moment on the same clock, in Speed, Timed Challenge, Survival or Guess The Player, and the higher score wins. One player creates a session and shares its 6-character code; the other enters the code to join. Winning live matches earns the Live Wire (first win), Live Champion (5 wins), The Oracle (10 wins) trophies. Party Mode is offline group play for 2–8 people on a single phone, with its own bank of 872 questions.

BalliQ has over 4,556 football questions as of 2026-09-21: 1,366 general questions (used by Survival, Speed and Timed Challenge), 2,218 Premier League questions across 78 Levels, a separate Party Mode bank of 872 questions, and 100 Guess The Player puzzles. The Daily Challenge's 10 questions a day are drawn from the general bank, so they are part of that total rather than extra.

BalliQ questions cover Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championship, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, International football, Football history, Legendary players, Managers, Transfers, Stadiums, Records and Women's football. The Levels ladder focuses on the Premier League, and Daily Challenge themes rotate between the Premier League, the World Cup and individual Premier League clubs.

Yes. The Premier League is BalliQ's deepest topic: all 78 Levels are Premier League questions, one of the three Daily Challenge themes is Premier League and another is club-specific Premier League trivia, and Premier League questions also appear across the general modes.

Yes. FIFA World Cup history is one of BalliQ's core topics, and "World Cup" is one of the three rotating Daily Challenge themes, so a full 10-question World Cup set comes round regularly.

In solo modes a correct answer is worth 10 points plus a streak bonus of 2 points for every consecutive correct answer before it; Timed Challenge multiplies that by up to 3× for fast answers and deducts 10 points when a question times out. You can use up to 3 hints per game on the free tier.

BalliQ has 30 trophies in four tiers — 10 bronze, 10 silver, 8 gold and 2 platinum. They reward games played (First Kick to Ball IQ Legend at 250 games), answer streaks (On Fire, Inferno, Supernatural), accuracy (Sharp, Surgeon, Perfect Mind), mode-specific scores, Daily Challenge streaks and live-match wins (Live Wire, Live Champion, The Oracle).

BalliQ tracks your career through five ranks — Youngster, Breakthrough Star, First Team Player, Star Player and Legend — alongside 78 unlockable levels, 30 trophies and statistics for games played, accuracy, best streak and best score in each mode.

BalliQ has three leaderboards — global, country (players from your country) and favourite team (fans of the same club) — each ranked both weekly and all-time. Scores from solo modes and live matches feed a lifetime total and a weekly total, so both long-term and current form are ranked.

BalliQ Premium is an optional in-app upgrade that removes ads and adds unlimited hints, exclusive challenges, advanced statistics, premium collectible cards, early access to new game modes and exclusive seasonal content. It is an optional in-app purchase; everything needed to play, compete and earn trophies is available free.

The free version of BalliQ shows ads. BalliQ Premium removes them.
